What engagement models does ALCAMI offer?

Three. Fully Managed Workforce Outsourcing, where ALCAMI takes full responsibility for recruitment, deployment, payroll, statutory compliance and supervision. Staff Augmentation, where we supply screened, compliant personnel who work under your direct day-to-day supervision while we handle their contract, payroll and statutory obligations. And Project-Based Deployment, for short-term, seasonal or project-specific requirements. The models can be combined or adjusted as your needs evolve.

How does an engagement start?

Every engagement follows the same six stages: needs assessment, recruitment and screening, deployment and onboarding, workforce administration, continuous monitoring, and review and reporting. We begin with an intake meeting and, where appropriate, a site visit, then document the role specifications, headcount and shift requirements before agreeing an indicative timeline and onboarding milestones.

Many clients begin with Project-Based Deployment to evaluate service quality before moving to a Fully Managed Outsourcing arrangement as operational integration develops. We are happy to discuss which model fits your current and anticipated needs.

Can you support operations across more than one sector or site?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Where a client's operations span several sectors — for example a manufacturer that also runs its own distribution and retail outlets — ALCAMI provides a single coordinated workforce solution across all sites under one account team, rather than treating each location as a separate engagement.

Which statutory obligations does ALCAMI manage?

NSSF registration and monthly contributions, SHA/SHIF registration and remittance, PAYE computation and remittance to the Kenya Revenue Authority, the NITA levy where applicable, and the Affordable Housing Levy. We maintain the corresponding compliance records and certificates, and these are available for audit on request.

What are the current statutory rates?

NSSF is 6% employer and 6% employee across two tiers, to a combined maximum of KES 12,960 per employee per month. SHIF is 2.75% of gross salary with a minimum of KES 300 and no upper cap. The Affordable Housing Levy is 1.5% employer and 1.5% employee. The NITA levy is KES 50 per employee per month, paid by the employer rather than deducted from pay. PAYE follows the KRA bands and reliefs in force. Rates are set by the relevant authorities and revised from time to time.

Question 8

What insurance cover is in place for deployed staff?

Work Injury Benefits Act (WIBA) and Public Liability cover through Sanlam Allianz General Insurance (Kenya) Limited, policy P/104/9101/2026/00030. WIBA limits are KES 10 million any one person, KES 25 million any one occurrence and KES 50 million any one year, with KES 100,000 for medical expenses. Public Liability is KES 5 million any one occurrence and in the annual aggregate. Cover is renewed annually and the policy schedule is available on request.

How are workers screened before deployment?

Each candidate goes through structured screening: identity verification, reference checks, and where applicable background checks, followed by skills assessment and suitability evaluation against the documented role specification. A shortlist is presented for client review where required.

Who supervises deployed staff on site?

Accepted Answer

A Site or Account Supervisor is assigned to each client location as the primary day-to-day contact, responsible for attendance verification and on-the-ground issue resolution, and acting as first point of contact for both your operations team and the deployed staff. Issues escalate from the supervisor to the Operations or HR & Compliance Manager, and then to the Managing Director.

What training do deployed staff receive?

Induction training covering workplace conduct, safety and client-specific procedures is delivered prior to or on the first day of deployment. This is reinforced with periodic refresher and skills-development sessions, and ongoing coaching through site supervisors. Training completion records are captured for compliance purposes.

How is personal data handled?

Employment relationships generate personal data — identification documents, statutory numbers, banking details and performance records. ALCAMI handles this in line with the principles of Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, restricting access to authorized personnel and retaining records only for legitimate HR, payroll and statutory purposes.

How is the service priced?

Pricing is built from the fully-loaded employment cost of the deployed workforce plus a management fee, and is tailored to the specific engagement — headcount, roles, shift patterns and the engagement model selected. Indicative pricing components and tiers are set out in the Service Proposal and confirmed in the Service Agreement.

What reporting will we receive?

A payroll and compliance report within five working days of disbursement, and a monthly service report covering KPI performance alongside payroll and compliance status. Governance runs on four layers: weekly site check-ins, monthly service reports, quarterly business reviews and an annual contract review at renewal.

How quickly can you scale headcount?

Scaling is part of the service. Deployment flexes with production cycles and seasonal demand, and for warehousing and retail we maintain a standby pool of vetted staff for short-notice increases. Specific timelines are agreed at needs-assessment stage against your actual requirement rather than quoted in advance.
